My netbook is about dead or close enough to be an excuse to start shopping around. My initial thought was to get a laptop but I never take it out if my house. As a result I am considering attempting a cheap build.
The computer would be for streaming, web browsing, maybe running some very low spec games but would like that to be an afterthought and not factor into the build initially.
How cheaply could I build I reliable machine to perform these functions? I was hoping to spend $300 if at all possible. My thought was to remove the laptop hard drive and if there were a way to test it use that. Doing odd stuff like that could save on costs.
